Meet Karen
A HND qualified therapist with over 30 years experience in the beauty industry.
Journey
My journey began while I was still in school, attending my local college one day a week to explore beauty therapy. Back then this industry was fairly new but that early experience sparked a passion that made me apply for a full time college course, which grew into a lifelong career which I still absolutely love.
My career began working in a beauty salon for several years before becoming self employed within Renella salon where I ran my own beauty business for 24 years. On my days off whilst there, I also spent some time teaching beauty therapy part time at Falkirk college which I loved but gave up when I started my family.
In 2021, circumstances changed through Covid and I relocated and opened Beauty at No 10, based in the town centre of Falkirk.
Over the years I've continued to further my skills and evolve with the ever changing beauty industry, keeping abreast of the latest treatments and technologies to give my clients the best results possible. Although I love all aspects of my job my passion is skincare. Helping clients achieve their skin goals and seeing how healthy skin not only boosts confidence but overall wellbeing makes my job so rewarding and I'm so grateful that even after 3 decades (I feel sooo old saying that!!) I still love what I do.

Meet Susanne
Hi, I'm Susanne , I'm a fully qualified therapist with over 20 years experience. Before coming into the beauty industry I nursed for 14 years , leaving when I started my family.
I've always had a passion for this kind of work and wanted to start my career when I left school but life took a different direction for me and I started my nursing career instead.
When my children started school I then took the opportunity to fulfil my dream and studied full time to become a beauty therapist.
I previously worked in the spa at Forrest Hills, McDonald hotel before starting my employment with Karen at Renella more than 10 years ago. I then took the plunge to become self employed prior to moving to Beauty at No 10.
I love working here and it's the best decision I've made. I enjoy all aspects of my job, from waxing to relaxing massages and everything in between.
